Prathyusha Challuru Becomes Costliest Pick as Kalyani Bengaluru Blasters Lead Maharani Trophy KSCA T20 Auction

Bengaluru, July 9, 2026: India all-rounder Prathyusha Challuru emerged as the biggest signing at the Maharani Trophy KSCA T20 Player Auction after Kalyani Bengaluru Blasters secured her services for a tournament-high ₹4.5 lakh. The auction saw franchises assemble competitive squads ahead of the upcoming edition of the women's T20 tournament, which will be played from July 22 to August 2 at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

Mysuru Warriors and Hubli Tigers also made significant acquisitions, signing India batter Shubha Satheesh and Karnataka all-rounder Vrinda Dinesh respectively for ₹4.2 lakh each as teams invested heavily in proven domestic performers and emerging talent.

Prathyusha Headlines High-Value Signings

Kalyani Bengaluru Blasters strengthened their squad by signing Prathyusha Challuru, who made her India debut against South Africa in 2021. The franchise further bolstered its lineup by adding Chandasi K (₹2 lakh), India U-19 all-rounder Mithila Vinod (₹1.9 lakh), Namita D'Souza (₹1.9 lakh) and Ananya Hegde (₹1.1 lakh).

Mysuru Warriors reinforced their batting by acquiring India batter Shubha Satheesh for ₹4.2 lakh. The franchise also secured Shishira A Gowda for ₹4.1 lakh, Sahana S Pawar for ₹2.8 lakh, Pooja Kumari for ₹1.1 lakh and Pushpa Kiresur for ₹1 lakh.

Hubli Tigers built a formidable core by signing Karnataka star Vrinda Dinesh for ₹4.2 lakh and all-rounder Niki Prasad for ₹4.1 lakh. The squad was further strengthened with the additions of Prathyoosha K (₹2.3 lakh), Divya Gnanananda (₹1.9 lakh) and Monica C Patel (₹1.5 lakh).

Gulbarga Mystics opted for experience, securing India all-rounder Rajeshwari Gayakwad for ₹3.3 lakh alongside wicketkeeper-batter Shreya Chavan for ₹3.2 lakh. The franchise also added Prerana GR (₹2.6 lakh), Soumya Verma (₹2.4 lakh), Roshini Kiran (₹1 lakh) and Aditi R (₹0.9 lakh).

Maharani Trophy Returns Later This Month

The 2026 edition of the Maharani Trophy KSCA T20 will feature four teams—Mysuru Warriors, Gulbarga Mystics, Kalyani Bengaluru Blasters and Hubli Tigers—with all matches scheduled to be played at Bengaluru's M. Chinnaswamy Stadium.

The player auction was conducted across four categories based on experience. Pool A featured capped Women's Premier League and international players with a base price of ₹1 lakh, while Pool B included Karnataka senior players at ₹75,000. Pool C comprised U-23 and junior state players with a base price of ₹50,000, and Pool D featured Karnataka probables and league performers at ₹30,000. Each franchise operated with a total auction purse of ₹20 lakh.
