Kashi Rudras Finalise 18-Player Squad for UPT20 Season 4 with Six New Auction Signings

Agra, July 25, 2026: Defending champions Kashi Rudras have completed their squad for UPT20 Season 4 following the player auction held in Agra on Friday. After retaining 12 players ahead of the auction, the two-time champions added six new faces to build an 18-member squad for the upcoming edition of the tournament.

The franchise strengthened its roster by signing Mohammad Sharim, Vaibhav Choudhary, Vijay Yadav, Virat Jaiswal, Manav Sindhu and Sahab Yuvraj Singh, adding depth across the batting, bowling and all-round departments as they look to defend their title.

Mohammad Sharim Headlines Auction Signings

Among the six additions, all-rounder Mohammad Sharim emerged as Kashi Rudras' biggest acquisition, joining the franchise for ₹17.50 lakh.

The team also secured the services of bowler Vaibhav Choudhary for ₹5 lakh, all-rounders Vijay Yadav for ₹5.20 lakh and Virat Jaiswal for ₹2.50 lakh, along with batters Manav Sindhu and Sahab Yuvraj Singh, both signed for ₹3.50 lakh each.

Franchise Expands Grassroots Cricket Initiative

Alongside preparations for the new season, Kashi Rudras also launched the Rudras Cup, the first regional scouting tournament of its kind by a UPT20 franchise.

The initiative, together with the franchise's extensive player trials, aims to provide aspiring cricketers with another platform to showcase their abilities before the Kashi Rudras scouting team while strengthening the pathway for emerging talent to progress into the franchise setup.

Retained Core Forms Foundation

Kashi Rudras retained 12 players before the auction, ensuring continuity within a squad that has already won two UPT20 titles. The retained group includes captain Karan Sharma alongside experienced campaigners Abhishek Goswami, Upendra Yadav, Atal Bihari Rai, Shubham Chaubey, Kartik Yadav, Sunil Kumar, Saksham Rai, Uvais Ahmad, Rishabh Rajput, Deepanshu Yadav and Arnav Baliyan.
