Anvita Khammam Aces and Hyderabad E-Champions Eye Historic TG20 Title

Hyderabad, July 11, 2026: The inaugural edition of the Sreenidhi University TG20 is set for a fitting finale as Anvita Khammam Aces and Hyderabad E-Champions prepare to battle for the championship at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium on Sunday, July 12.

Ahead of the summit clash, captains CV Milind of Anvita Khammam Aces and Abhirath Reddy of Hyderabad E-Champions addressed the media during the pre-final press conference. They were joined by members of the Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) and the Sreenidhi University TG20 Governing Council.

Anvita Khammam Aces Carry Winning Momentum

The Aces head into the final after ending Hyderabad E-Champions' unbeaten run with a hard-fought 10-run victory in Qualifier 1. Mickil Jaiswal starred with an unbeaten 76 to power his side to 200/6 before Sahendra Mallu led the bowling attack in a successful defence of the total.

The franchise has enjoyed consistent contributions throughout the tournament. Himateja Kodimela has been among the standout batters, amassing 430 runs at an average of over 107, including an unbeaten century. Sixteen-year-old spinner Ved Reddy has emerged as one of the discoveries of the tournament with 14 wickets, leading the team's bowling charts.

"We're expecting a great contest because both teams have played exceptional cricket throughout the tournament. Hyderabad E-Champions are a complete side, but our focus is on staying calm under pressure, executing our roles and playing the brand of cricket that has brought us this far," said Anvita Khammam Aces captain CV Milind.

"Having Himateja back is a big boost for us, but this has never been about one player. If every individual contributes, we'll give ourselves the best chance of lifting the trophy."

Hyderabad E-Champions Seek Revenge in Final

After suffering their only defeat of the tournament, Hyderabad E-Champions bounced back impressively in Qualifier 2, defeating EIPL & Eleve Karimnagar Diamonds by eight wickets to secure their place in the final.

Captain Abhirath Reddy led from the front with a fluent 82, continuing his outstanding campaign. He has become the tournament's leading run-scorer and the first batter to cross the 500-run mark this season. With the ball, Ajay Dev Goud has been equally influential, topping the wicket-taking charts with 19 scalps.

"Anvita Khammam Aces have been one of the strongest teams in the tournament, and we're looking forward to another high-quality contest. Our one defeat taught us valuable lessons about handling pressure, and we've grown stronger because of it," Abhirath Reddy said.

"TG20 has been a fantastic platform for players at every stage of their careers, and it's only going to raise the standard of cricket in Telangana. We're excited for the final and ready to give it everything."

Beyond the title race, the inaugural Sreenidhi University TG20 has highlighted the growing depth of cricketing talent in Telangana. The competition has provided young players with an opportunity to compete alongside experienced campaigners while strengthening the Hyderabad Cricket Association's talent development pathway.

Speaking ahead of the final, TG20 Governing Council Chairman Agam Rao hailed the tournament's impact on grassroots cricket.

INR 1 Crore Prize on Offer

The winners of the inaugural Sreenidhi University TG20 will receive a cash prize of INR 1 crore, while the runners-up will take home INR 50 lakh. The teams finishing third and fourth will each receive INR 25 lakh.

With two of the tournament's best-performing teams set to clash, Sunday's final promises an exciting finish to a successful inaugural season of the Sreenidhi University TG20.
