Hyderabad, July 9, 2026: Tanmay Agarwal continued his remarkable run in the Hyderabad Cricket Association's Sreenidhi University TG20, smashing his third century of the tournament to guide EIPL & Eleve Karimnagar Diamonds to a commanding 75-run victory over Ranga Reddy Risers on Thursday. The win booked the Diamonds' place in Qualifier 2, where they will face the losers of Qualifier 1 between Hyderabad E-Champions and Anvita Khammam Aces.

Leading from the front, Tanmay produced a breathtaking knock of 137 off just 61 deliveries, laced with 11 boundaries and 10 sixes. His second consecutive century also saw him reclaim the Orange Cap with 465 runs in the tournament. Hrishikesh Simha contributed a fluent half-century as the Diamonds posted an imposing 238/7 before Ashish Srivastav's brilliant five-wicket haul dismantled the Risers for 163 in 16.3 overs.

Tanmay Sets the Tone with Explosive Century

Karimnagar Diamonds made an aggressive start with skipper Tanmay Agarwal taking charge from the outset. Satwik Reddy chipped in with 15 off nine balls before falling in the fourth over, but Tanmay continued the assault, smashing 27 runs in the sixth over to propel his side to 75/1 at the end of the powerplay.

The left-hander reached his half-century in just 24 balls before stitching together a magnificent 139-run partnership for the second wicket with Hrishikesh Simha. Simha played the perfect supporting role with a composed 50, allowing Tanmay to dominate the scoring.

Tanmay brought up his century in only 48 deliveries and never allowed the Risers' bowlers to settle. His scintillating innings of 137 from 61 balls finally ended in the 16th over, triggering a late collapse as Diamonds lost five wickets for just 28 runs. Despite the late setbacks, the batting side finished with an imposing 238/7.

Ashish Srivastav Tears Through Risers' Batting

Chasing a daunting target, Ranga Reddy Risers started positively with Aaron George striking three boundaries before departing in the opening over. Aditya Javvaji and captain Tanay Thyagarajann rebuilt the innings with an attacking stand before Ashish Srivastav turned the match decisively in the Diamonds' favour.

Ashish removed Aditya Javvaji and Gnana Prakash Reddy in the same over, with wicketkeeper Rahul Radesh completing two sharp stumpings. Narayana Teja added another wicket as the Risers slipped from 72/2 to 75/5.

Tanay Thyagarajann fought back with an entertaining 63 off 33 balls, while Nitin Sai Yadav scored a fighting 50 from 30 deliveries. The experienced duo added 48 runs in quick time to keep the chase alive briefly.

However, Shubham Sharma dismissed Tanay at a crucial stage before Ashish wrapped up the lower order to finish with outstanding figures of 5/16. The Risers were eventually bowled out for 163, handing Karimnagar Diamonds a comprehensive 75-run victory.

Qualifier 2 Beckons for Karimnagar Diamonds

With the convincing win, EIPL & Eleve Karimnagar Diamonds advance to Qualifier 2, where they will take on the losers of the Qualifier 1 clash between Hyderabad E-Champions and Anvita Khammam Aces for a place in the tournament final.
