Sreenidhi University TG20 Enters Decisive Knockout Stage
After three weeks of exhilarating cricket, dramatic finishes and exceptional individual performances, the Hyderabad Cricket Association's Sreenidhi University TG20 is all set for its biggest week as the inaugural edition enters the playoff stage.
Only four teams remain in contention for the title, with every match now carrying championship significance. The playoffs begin on Thursday, July 9, with the Eliminator featuring Ranga Reddy Risers against EIPL & Eleve Karimnagar Diamonds. Later in the evening, unbeaten Hyderabad E-Champions take on Anvita Khammam Aces in Qualifier 1.
The winner of Qualifier 1 will book a direct place in the grand finale on Sunday, July 12, while the losing side will receive another opportunity in Qualifier 2 on Friday, July 10, where they will face the winner of the Eliminator.
Risers and Karimnagar Diamonds Eye Survival in Eliminator
Ranga Reddy Risers head into the knockout stage as one of the tournament's form teams. Facing elimination before their final league fixture, the Risers produced one of the competition's most remarkable performances, crushing Warangal Warriors by 161 runs to secure a playoff berth.
Aditya Javvaji has been the backbone of the batting unit with 286 runs, while experienced spinner Aryan Cariappa has spearheaded the bowling attack with 11 wickets, including a match-winning four-wicket haul.
EIPL & Eleve Karimnagar Diamonds have enjoyed an impressive comeback after losing their opening two matches. Tanmay Agarwal has starred with the bat, amassing 328 runs, including two centuries, while Chandan Sahani has provided crucial support in the middle order.
Their bowling unit has been equally effective, with Rathlavath Dinesh claiming nine wickets. Narayana Teja and Shubham Sharma have each picked up eight wickets, giving the Diamonds one of the tournament's most balanced attacks.
Unbeaten Hyderabad E-Champions Face Explosive Khammam Aces
Qualifier 1 promises to be one of the biggest matches of the tournament, featuring the competition's two strongest all-round sides.
Hyderabad E-Champions remain the only unbeaten team in the league. Their batting has revolved around the sensational form of Abhirath Reddy, who has accumulated 418 runs at an extraordinary strike rate of 220, including a century. Ganesh Gadugu has provided valuable support with 224 runs, finishing unbeaten on three occasions.
With the ball, Ajay Dev Goud leads the tournament wicket charts with 16 wickets, while Pranav Varma has claimed nine wickets at an impressive economy rate of 6.8.
Anvita Khammam Aces boast one of the most destructive batting line-ups in the competition. Kodimela Himateja has dominated the league with 430 runs, including one century and four half-centuries, averaging an outstanding 107.5. Wafi Kachchhi and G Sai Krishna Reddy have consistently provided explosive starts throughout the season.
Their bowling attack has also impressed, with 16-year-old Ved Reddy emerging as the tournament's second-highest wicket-taker with 12 wickets, while skipper CV Milind has collected nine wickets in just five matches.
League Stage Produced Memorable Cricket
