Shivamogga Yodhas Lift Maiden DACCS Maharaja Trophy KSCA T20 Title

BENGALURU, July 12, 2026: Shivamogga Yodhas claimed their maiden DACCS Maharaja Trophy KSCA T20 championship after defeating Bengaluru Blasters by four wickets in a thrilling final at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium on Sunday.

Chasing a challenging target of 186, captain Luvnith Sisodia led from the front with a sensational 87 off just 45 deliveries before Aneesh KV finished the job with an unbeaten 38 from 19 balls. The Yodhas crossed the finish line with two balls to spare to seal their first-ever Maharaja Trophy crown.

Despite ending on the losing side, Samit Dravid delivered an impressive all-round performance for Bengaluru Blasters, scoring 37 runs before returning figures of 4/36 with the ball.

Bengaluru Blasters Recover After Early Setbacks

After winning the toss and opting to bat, Bengaluru Blasters got off to a flying start through Bhuvan Mohan Raju, who smashed 23 off just 10 deliveries. However, Abhilash Shetty struck early to dismiss Raju before Yashovardhan Parantap made an immediate impact by removing Patil for 11 and effecting the run out of Krishnan Shrijith, reducing the Blasters to 36/3 inside the opening four overs.

Captain Shubhang Hegde and Samit Dravid steadied the innings with a valuable 56-run partnership for the fourth wicket. Hegde contributed 31 off 31 deliveries, while Dravid added 37 from 37 balls to rebuild the innings.

Shivamogga Yodhas continued to strike at regular intervals and had Bengaluru Blasters under pressure at 127/6 in the 17th over.

However, the momentum shifted dramatically in the closing overs. Wahid Faizan Khan launched a blistering counterattack, smashing 29 off only eight balls with two fours and three sixes. Rohan Naveen then finished the innings in spectacular fashion, hammering four consecutive sixes in the final over to remain unbeaten on 25 from just eight deliveries. Their late fireworks helped Bengaluru Blasters collect 75 runs in the last five overs and finish on a competitive 185/8.

Sisodia Sets the Platform with Match-Winning Knock

Shivamogga Yodhas approached the chase positively, with skipper Luvnith Sisodia taking control from the outset. The left-hander played one of the finest innings of the tournament, striking nine boundaries and four sixes during his explosive 87 off 45 balls.

Sisodia first added 68 runs with Naveen MG before combining with Aneesh KV for a rapid 53-run partnership that came in just 22 deliveries, putting the Yodhas firmly in command of the chase.

Although Sisodia departed in the 16th over with 38 runs still required, Aneesh KV maintained the momentum. The right-hander smashed four towering sixes during his unbeaten 38 off 19 balls to guide Shivamogga Yodhas to victory with two deliveries remaining, sparking celebrations as the franchise secured its maiden DACCS Maharaja Trophy KSCA T20 title.
