Jakarta, July 5, 2026: India made an impressive start to its campaign at the U-19 Asian Boxing Championships as World Boxing Futures Cup gold medallist Chandrika Pujari and silver medallist Joyshree Devi delivered commanding performances on the opening day in Jakarta, Indonesia.
Competing in the preliminary rounds, Chandrika showcased her technical superiority in the girls' 51kg category by defeating Mongolia's Lakham Tsendbaatar via a unanimous 5-0 decision. The convincing victory secured her progression to the next round and underlined India's strong start to the continental competition.
